The Williamson County Sheriff’s Citizen Academy is a 40 hour program designed to give the citizens

of Williamson County a working knowledge of the Williamson Sheriff’s Office and the criminal

justice system. The primary objective of the academy is to foster community relationships and to build

a better understanding between citizens and the Sheriff’s Office through education. Classes will begin

on Wednesday, May 3rd from 7:00pm until 10:00pm and will continue for 13 weeks. Classes will take

place at the Sheriff’s Office training room located at 508 S. Rock Street in Georgetown, TX.

Participants will learn day to day operations of the Sheriff’s Office, get a tour of the correctional

system, a ride along with a patrol deputy and a chance to participate in hands on training. The class

size is limited to 20 people.

 

Graduation is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

Applications must be received by April 21, 2017.
